Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve was represented at Denkmal 2016 in Germany

The trade fair “Denkmal” was first staged in 1994. This year 435 exhibitors from 17 countries of the world, including Russia, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia, Latvia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Croatia, have taken part in it.
M.N. Sharomazov, director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, and L.A. Lupushor, deputy director of development and exhibition work, were members of the Russian delegation headed by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the RF.
The stand of the Ministry of Culture of Russia was introduced to Mr. Martin Dulig, Saxon State Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, and Mr. Markus Geisenberger, CEO of Leipziger Messe International GmbH.
“Results of reconstruction and restoration of the cultural heritage sites with the use of traditional techniques and crafts in restoration and reconstruction of the cultural sites are being presented on our stand in multimedia format”, noted Artem Novikov, acting director of the Property Management and Investment Policy Department in the Ministry of Culture of the RF.
The European audience could see the results of work on such significant sites as the ensemble of the Ferapontov Monastery with Dionisy’s frescoes, the Kazan Tower of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, the Arsenal Pavilion in the Tsarskoye Selo State Museum-Preserve, the Big Yard of the State Hermitage, the Transfiguration Church of the Kizhi Museum, and the draft of restoration and adaptation for modern use of the Palace Stables in Peterhof
