“Spring Vacation in Museum”… has begun!

27 March 2017

“Vacation” has just started and various events will be held for you during the whole week. Their program is posted on our website.

Spring has come and “Spring Vacation” has started in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve! It means that the museum will open its doors for all participants of the program that is due to last from March 27 to April 1.

The first event within the framework of the program “Spring Vacation in Museum” was conducted for children by M.N. Travnikova, guide of the Department of Visitor Relations in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. Its topic was “Russian Riddles. Solve Them”. Boys and girls learnt about folk traditions and peasant everyday life while playing.

N.V. Zovutina and E.A. Serova, employees of the Department of Visitor Relations, taught participants of the master-class to make an amulet spring doll – that very doll that has the strength of the sun and protects the family peace. By the way, it is high time now to create a new doll because that doll that was kept in the house during the year was to be burned down on the day when people bid farewell to winter.

The one-day program was concluded with a tea party. We don’t say goodbye to the participants of “Spring Vacation in Museum”, but look forward to seeing them in the new master-classes, tours and museum lessons. “A Lesson in Old School” will take place in the Monk’s Cell today at 14:00 and the master-class “Spring Flowers” will be delivered in the conference hall.
